All worked as normal I am able to read and write to both HDDs. I then:Moved entire 5 Bay unit, including same USB cable, to another machine - Windows machine. Used Disk utility "First Aid" - it returned ".First Aid process failed.".Swapped drives into open bays (keeping same trays).The video drive is not being read correctly, but the audio drive works as it should and I can read and write from / to the drive. Today, after a reboot, I get a notice on the Mac: " The disk you inserted is not readable by this computer" and offers 3 options: Initialize, Ignore, and Eject. ![]() This system has been working as described for about 3 months (the HomeBridge has been working for about 3 years I recently added the 5 bay ~ 3 months ago). 1 drive is labeled audio, the other video. The HDDs in the 5 Bay are formatted as exFat. I have another external USB drive that I use for Time Machine and some basic backup. It connects via USB cable to the Mac, giving me 2 drives. I have an external 5 bay unit for my media, using 2 x 4TB WD Red+ NAS drives. I use this machine to run my home automation (HomeBridge) and as a Plex server. I know the post might seem a bit longer, but it's because I've included what I've done to resolve this myself so others who may have suggestions can see if I've done it already.
